1. Juice Pipe Sub Sprawl Store We wrote and recorded this little EP in 3 days for a home recording compilation on Suburban Sprawl records. It was recorded in our grimy practice space in Pontiac, MI (which was situated in, you guessed it, a basement) by a friend of ours, Nick Campbell. As it turns out 8 years later he is the king-shit of telling people how to use after effects, and motivating them to make cool shit. This young man is definitely not a dead beet. Short-Skirt is three radically different tunes basically thrown together through loops and jams. When we finished it, we actually dug the music more than most of the other stuff that we’ve labored over in practice. A lesson that time constraints and letting go often brings more creative and better sounding results. A lesson we still haven’t properly learned… and probably never will. Although never released as such, we’ve always referred to this group of songs as the Short Skirt EP, because it’s long enough to cover the topic, yet short enough to hold your interest-we hope..
